In 2018 I founded Apertura, inspired by International Collective Female Cinematographers and other similar movements. Apertura is a Minority Collective of Cinematographer that helps with diffusion and education for their members.
In October 3rd 2018 we announced the existence of the association to Mexican Industry by a press conference, where Maria Novaro, Director of the Mexican Institute for Cinematography (IMCINE), supported our initiative.
